CICADA’s Art at a Distance Grant
As a catalyst to spark new creation and cooperation within the artist community in Boston amid COVID-19, Cicada created The Art at a Distance grant program. Chanel Thervil was selected as one of the 10 artists to be awarded a $2000 grant and randomly paired with a partner to create a singular collaborative art piece. The five final pieces were showcased via a Digital Gallery Opening live-stream.
Chanel was paired with animator Kate Costello.
The videos shared reflect their work together and the product of their collaboration, a stop motion animation titled “Allyship”.
